Day1 I had a good day working on my project today. I spent a lot of the day looking up pictures that I could use in my PowerPoint to showcase the best aspects of Sevilla. I researched a few good places to eat and stay and combined them with my own personal opinions. I think that I am off to a good start for this project! Next class I will begin looking up the various maps that we need and starting putting together an itinerary. This project is going to take a lot of research to make sure that I suggest and depict only the best parts of Sevilla to the viewers! Day 2 Today was somewhat frustrating. For the project, we need to find and use a wide variety of maps explaining different physical, political, economical, administrative, geological and more aspects of our assigned location. I was able to find a few maps for Sevilla, but after a very long time of searching, was still unable to find a geological, economical, and contour maps. I asked the professor for help and he wrote down that I could not find these maps. I added the physical and administrative maps into my PowerPoint as well as a map of Spain depicting where Sevilla is located. I also included a Climate chart for travelers to see the temperatures and precipitation for all months of the year. I have decided to use the next class to work on the itinerary aspect of the assignment. I did not think that finding these maps would be so hard and take so long! Day 3 I had a very productive day today. I began to add more parts into my PowerPoint. I added a few of my personal pictures into my presentation, as well as some of the pictures that I found online. I wrote the day one itinerary and added that into my slides as well. I was uncertain of how many days to write the itinerary for, but when I thought back to how long I was in Sevilla and all of the things that I was able to see in only two days, I decided that a 2-day itinerary was a good choice. The first day, I will send the traveler to a delicious breakfast, the cathedral, the Giralda Tower, and have lunch at an Irish restaurant (even though it is not Spanish, the food was incredible and I think that all travelers should take a trip there for lunch) . After lunch, I decided that my traveler should go to the Alcazar and Gardens for a few hours, taking time to relax and enjoy the scenery. Later, I have incorporated a few short hours for souvenir shopping and walking around the beautiful city. For dinner, I suggested Restaurant Abril, for its wonderful cuisine, and then a short walk home. I think that I got a lot accomplished today. Next I have to finish the itinerary for day 2 and then write the article. I think my itinerary is going to turn out very well! Day 4 Today is going to be the last day that I work on my project, I think I will be able to finish everything and leave some time for proof reading and editing. I wrote my itinerary for day 2 and included a yummy breakfast at Restaurante Alboroque and a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts. After the museum, I suggested walking along the river towards Plaza de España, enjoying some leisure time and heading towards El Patio Sevillano for a show and delicious dinner. Lastly, I suggested the travelers walk to the Alameda de Hercules and the Plaza de Alfalfa area for a few drinks and good times with the locals! I ended my itinerary in Sevilla by advising the travelers to walk back to their hotel, pack their bags, and get ready for their next journey: Granada! I have finished putting all of my slides together and completed my article for Sevilla. I checked for spelling and grammatical errors and I am ready to submit my part of the final project!
